Peter Chandler, BSc FRICS
Peter Chandler qualified in 1979 and has been working in the area since 1977. As well as a wealth of experience in survey and valuation work, he is a leading expert in social housing valuations. Peter is a keen runner, hill walker and former President of the Southsea Castle Rotary Club.
Neil Hawkins, FRICS
Neil Hawkins qualified in 1985 and has been working in the Portsmouth area since 1980. In addition to survey and valuation work, he specialises in lease extension/enfranchisement work and party wall appointments. Neil is a long suffering Pompey season ticket holder and Honorary Secretary (and Golf Secretary) of the Portsmouth Property Association, an organisation that promotes good practice in the industry.
Neil and Peter are both RICS Registered Valuers and are able to draw on a wealth of local knowledge and expertise. They are supported by an experienced team of secretaries who are always happy to help with enquiries.
Secretary / Bookkeeper
Sarah Jones has worked for Neil and Peter at Chandler Hawkins for over 16 years as a part-time secretary and bookkeeper.
Her working life has been spent in administration at various companies from local accountants to international insurance companies to food manufacturers.
June Williams joined Chandler Hawkins in 2009 and works as a part-time secretary providing administrative support both Neil and Peter.
Paula joined Chandler Hawkins in 2018 and works as a part-time secretary to provide administrative support to both Neil and Peter.
Amal Uddin LLB (Hons), LLM, PGDip, MCMI, ACIArb, FRICS
Amal Uddin is a Chartered Surveyor, with an exhaustive nationwide knowledge of the commercial property sector, and a highly experienced corporate property professional.
Amal has been in the property management sector for over 19 years working as a Corporate Management Surveyor in the City of London for a variety of leading corporate property companies, including CB Richard Ellis, Cushman & Wakefield (formerly DTZ) and the City Surveyors (for the City Corporation of London) as well as being called as a barrister by the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn.
Amal has extensive knowledge and expertise in property portfolio/asset management – including negotiation of leases, undertaking rent reviews, commercial property valuations, down-sizing of surplus property portfolios as well as managing diverse property portfolios including shopping centres, retail, institutional, industrial, High Street and office/mix use properties nationwide.
In 2010 Amal established AU CONSULTANCY Chartered Surveyors, and as Managing Director heads up the AU GROUP of Companies.
